The CP Kit includes the Helix CP Filter, 77mm Helix Base Plate, and 82mm Base Plate. The Helix MagLock™ Filter System was developed both to eliminate the hassle of threading filters on and off, while also providing a filter that's safely locked in place once installed.

The ND8 is our 3-stop ND filter offering hyper-neutral color for video production or photography. The ND8 can be used to shoot cinematic shutter speeds during golden hour or portraits in bright light.

The ND8/PL is our 3-stop ND + Polarizer filter offering hyper-neutral color for video production or photography. The ND8 can be used to shoot cinematic shutter speeds during golden hour or portraits in bright light.

The ND64/PL is our 6-stop ND + Polarizer filter offering hyper-neutral color for video production or photography. The ND64 can be used to shoot cinematic shutter speeds mid-day or for long exposure photography.

The ND1000 is our 10-stop ND filter offering hyper-neutral color for long exposure photography. The ND1000 can be used to shoot up to 30 second exposures during the day.

Compatibility

Camera Lenses: Helix filters do not have threads. At least one Helix Base Plate will be required in order to use these filters.

Filter Stacking: All Helix filters are the same size, and the frames allow them to be stacked with each other. This article provides guidance on glass compatibility.

How does the Burkard filter lineup differ from the McKinnon lineup?

The Burkard filter lineup is geared towards photography. The McKinnon lineup is geared towards videography.

Are the Helix Burkard filters interchangeable with the McKinnon and/or Shortstache Helix filters?

Yes! Any Helix filter will fit on any Helix Base Plate, so they’re all interchangeable.

Am I able to change the Base Plates that come included with the Burkard CP Kit?

We don’t offer modifications on pre-built kits at this time.
