Combines a Polarizer, VND, and ¼ Black Mist into a single filter. The added Black Mist provides subtle halation around highlights, while retaining shadow depth.

VND/PL | ⅛ Gold Mist

Combines a Polarizer, VND, and ⅛ Gold Mist into a single filter. The Gold Mist works to create a warming effect on highlights with a slight golden bloom.

FAQ

Are the stop values meant to be adjusted two-handed?

Yes. The recommended procedure is to set the stop value before you begin shooting. The polarization can be easily adjusted one-handed on the fly.

I lost the front and/or rear cap for my VND/PL, and I don’t see spares on your site. Where can I get a new cap?

Can I stack a separate Mist filter with my VND/PL?

Yes! Stacking a Mist filter with a VND/PL is a popular way to increase flexibility.

Are the VND/PLs compatible with stock lens hoods?

No. VND filters contain two glass elements rather than one, so they need to be made wider than other filters to minimize vignetting. As a result, they’ll generally prevent stock lens hoods from fitting.

What are the strength value for the Black Mist and the Gold Mist Filters?

“Black Mist - VND/PL” (¼ mist) - diffusion strength for subtle highlight halation while retaining deep blacks

“Gold Mist - VND/PL” (⅛ mist) - diffusion strength for subtle gold highlight rolloff
