FAQ

Will these filters work in other matte boxes?

No, they’re not the standard 4x5.65 size. The BaseCamp Matte Box will be required to use these filters. We do however offer standard 4x5.65 filters here.

Do I need the Stage 3 Adapter to use the Graduated NDs? Or can those also work in the Core?

You’ll need the Stage 3 Adapter. The Core won’t allow the GNDs to move up or down in the frame.

My BaseCamp VND configuration causes color changes when I rotate the CP, instead of changing the density. What’s causing that?

Most likely, either the CP or VND is installed backwards. Our setup video for the BaseCamp (here) shows the orientation each filter should be in during installation. If either one is backwards, then color changes can occur.

Are any of the filters IR-cut models?

Yes! The fixed-density NDs (ND4, ND8, etc.) are all IR-cut models, and will be neutral through 1100nm.
