System Overview
Can I use the Recon system on lenses that aren't 82mm?
Yes, a Step-Up or Step-Down ring can be used to utilize the Recon VND or Thread Base with your favorite lenses.
When can I use the additional 1.5 stops the Recon VND has to offer?
Pushing the Recon 3-6+ VND past 6 stops should only be done at focal lengths greater than 35mm to avoid vignetting.
Will the Stage 2 filters create any vignetting issues?
The Stage 2 filters won't vignette unless rotated more than 20 degrees in either direction when shooting at wide focal lengths. There should be no issues when shooting above 24mm.
Is Recon compatible with any previous PMVND filters or BaseCamp components?
No, all Recon filters and components are only compatible with the Recon system.
